Brand & taxonomy credit

Trademark notice and attribution for the intentLM™ Global Intent Taxonomy.

1. Trademark

intentLM™ is a trademark of Suman Bhattacharya. The open-source SDK and taxonomy are licensed separately (see LICENSE). Use of the intentLM name in a product title or confusing branding requires permission. Nominative use (e.g. “compatible with the intentLM taxonomy”) with attribution is OK.

The product name is spelled intentLM (lowercase "intent", capital "LM"). Avoid alternate spellings such as IntentLM or intent-lm in customer-facing copy.

intentLM™ is a trademark of Suman Bhattacharya.

2. What you may do

  • Nominative use — refer to compatibility, e.g. "compatible with the intentLM taxonomy" or "uses intentLM token IDs," with accurate attribution.
  • Use the open SDK and taxonomy under the license shipped with that package (see the package LICENSE / npm page).
  • Map your product URLs and events to the published integer token IDs without renaming those IDs.

3. What requires permission

  • Using intentLM (or a confusingly similar name) in your product title, company name, domain, or logo.
  • Implying that Suman Bhattacharya or intentLM endorses or operates your product.
  • Reassigning published token IDs to different meanings (token 102 must remain PRICING_VIEW, and so on).

4. How to credit the taxonomy

The Global Intent Taxonomy (token ID ↔ label mappings) is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. SDK runtime code is Apache-2.0. They are not the same license — see the open package at github.com/intentlm/intentlm-sdk.

Whenever you redistribute the taxonomy, ship a derived taxonomy, document those IDs, or use them as an LLM / context-compressor vocabulary, include attribution.

5. Token IDs are immutable

The taxonomy is a shared vocabulary across customers. Adding new tokens is always additive (new IDs in unused ranges). Do not delete or repurpose existing IDs — that breaks cross-installation meaning and training data.
